Toddler News….

As we welcome Spring we would like to tell you our latest news and what we have been up to in the last month. We have had a few changes within the room with Sarah joining the team as our acting Room leader and Lizzie who works 10.00 - 4.00 each day.

We have strived to get out and about when we can and have enjoyed some beautiful afternoons out on the grassy area just across from the car park. It seems to be a favourite area for our toddler group, where the children are relaxed and enjoy a quiet afternoon tea. We also add in a little yoga after we have eaten our afternoon tea or have a run up and down the area.

We have also really enjoyed in the last few weeks visiting our new art studio! We have been so excited to get in and explore different art ideas. We are getting down there once or twice a week with small groups of 6 children. So far we have explored chisel headed textas, pencils, oil pastels and metallic paint colours. It is a great space where the children are able to use their creativity in their own ways.

We sadly said goodbye to Nicole on the 14th October, she will missed and we wish her well in her future endeavors. We are currently in the process of finding a suitable replacement for her position.

A few reminders…

* Please ensure you bring a substantial amount of nappies for your child, a normal day we would need 4-5 nappies to ensure for accidents and bowel movements. If we ask for more nappies it means we are about to run out and need then ASAP.

* Please remember to sunscreen your child on arrival and wash their hands. As the weather is finally beginning to warm up we are getting outside earlier some mornings and the UV is stronger. It is also important you wash your child's hands on arrival to prevent the spread of germs.

Thank you for assisting us with these needs to ensure a happy healthy toddler room.

We are really interested in what you have been doing at home with your child, so please don't hesitate to tell us about any special occasion or holiday you have been on or any learning your child has been doing. We can then add it into our program and extend your child's learning further.

We hope you are enjoying spring time as we get closer to the end of the year. We look forward to talking to you in the room and planning more exciting learning.

Sarah, Tricia, Allison and Lizzie
