Woden Early Childhood Centre
The Centre was built in 1986. It is a community based Centre run by a Management Committee made up of current families, staff reps and the Centre Director. The Management Committee makes decisions based on the best interest of the children, their families and educators employed at WECC.
The Committee meets monthly, all enrolled families are welcome to attend and be part of the Committee. Care for children can be arranged upon request and a light supper is provided. Meetings usually last 1.5 to 2 hours. We are a non-for-profit incorporated association.

What Clients Say
WECC is like a second family for our kids. Such a caring atmosphere, the educators connect so well with the children, always having their needs and interests foremost in mind. Everyday seems to hold something special or exciting for the kids – they come home tired from their adventures and always with smiles on their faces.
But the special X factor WECC has shouldn’t come as a surprise – it’s been in the loving hands of Reesha since the Centre started in 1995. That in itself is unique and a treasure. So glad we found WECC, it’s been a beautiful journey for our family.
Minty Family
I have been a part of the Woden Early Childcare Centre (WECC) family since 2014. Both my children Mieke and Denham have attended the Centre, and I have nothing but positive words to say when I reflect on the past few years.
The staff are kind, caring and compassionate to every child’s needs and it was this and the positive learning environment that made it easy for me to leave my children in care whilst returning to work.
Reesha, the Centre’s Director, is passionate about the Centre and is continually looking for ways to improve the environment and the learning experience for the children in care. The educators are wonderful and you can see how well loved they are by the children and their families interactions.
This is my son’s last few months attending WECC, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank Reesha and her wonderful team for making both Mieke and Denham’s early childhood years so positive and memorable.

We would like to thank-you all for the care and attention shown to our child during her time with WECC. We have appreciated the risk-taking philosophy of the Centre and that she comes home with wet, muddy clothes, delighted at having splashed in the puddles.

“Both of my children have attended Woden Early Childhood Centre. From day one, they were nurtured and loved which helped them flourish into the confident and kind children they are today. The educators are friendly and supportive and have made my family feel like their own. My youngest still attends and each day she is so excited to see her teachers and friends in the WECC environment”.
