About Us
Woden Early Childhood Centre is a community-based not for profit care and education service.
We are a 63-place child care centre offering part-time and full-time care for children from birth through to school age. There are four rooms that are roughly divided into age groups. Children are moved up when they are ready to venture into the next room and families feel they are ready.
The Centre is open from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm, Monday to Friday, for 50 weeks per year.
Care is offered on a weekly or a mix of daily care to meet family needs, however where possible we recommend consecutive care days; as we believe this encourages children to develop a strong sense of belonging, confidence and independence, which leads to stronger social, emotional and learning experiences.
Extra care is available on a casual basis to children already using the Centre part time, however there needs to be vacancies in the room on the extra day requested. Childcare is not available at our Centre once your child attends school.
We feel our Centre is a place to nurture children to be responsible and respectful citizens, who are ready to meet challenges with confidence. We want to help create children who are energetic enthusiastic learners, who love life, enjoy new opportunities and are proud of their achievements – no matter how big or small.
