Committee Information
Woden Early Childhood Centre is a non-profit, community based centre. The Centre is run by a Management Committee compromising of current families, two educator representatives and the Centre Director. The committee meets on a monthly basis and makes financial and policy decisions for the running of the Centre. The Director is responsible for the day to day running of the Centre.
The Committee strives to provide an environment where families feel comfortable leaving their children. A place where high quality educators will want to work making a difference in the lives of young children.
All parents are encouraged to be involved in Committee activities. The Committee meets monthly and makes financial and policy decisions about the operation of the Centre. Dates of the meetings are put on the OWNA app. Parents are encouraged to attend meetings. Childcare will be available if needed
and a light supper is provided.
The Management Committee, in conjunction with the Centre Director, determines centre staff requirements and ensures that staffing is maintained at a level consistent with the delivery of high quality programs and are above National Quality Standards. Management understand and supports the philosophy behind providing continuity of care. Children’s care will be prioritised by only moving
educators between rooms when it is vital to the running of the Centre.
